I don’t think I look too bad for waking up at 3:30a this morning… I can’t believe I’ve been awake for 14 hours already.

As a patient I consider myself pretty easy going.

I may cringe if I know I need some blood drawn, but I’m not a fainter. You can stick me with as many needles as you need and I have FANTASTIC veins. AND I can deal with pretty much every body fluid except saliva… But try and get a bandaid or surgical tape off of me and I will become the biggest baby ever…

Not even kidding. My mum just chased me until she ripped the bandaid off my arm. Ouch.

On a better note, I totally nerded out during my scan today and not only did I ask a ridiculous number of questions in the nearly 3 hours it took for my Cardiac MRI, but I also tried to subtly stalk intern/resident-looking scrub-dressed people wandering the hospital on the way out. LOLOLOL.

Day 1.

Today I am starting an actual exercising schedule. I’ve been saying I’d do it for quite a while, but since I have a Cardiac MRI in a couple of weeks, it might be a good idea to be as healthy as possible so my Cardiologist doesn’t yell at me or look at me with her Mom-Doctor-Eyes again… plus, I watched the new Karate Kid movie last night and was extremely embarrassed how much more in shape a 12-year old is compared to me.

I’m in such a great mood!

Though I’m exhausted, today has been lovely and slightly mind-boggling. My Cardiology appt. went well per usual but I get to get a Cardiac MRI in January—1st of mine ever! So, not only that, but I chatted with my doc about med school and she gave me tons of great advice. We actually have a lot in common. I emailed a number of organizations about possible volunteering, interning, and I inquired with the American Red Cross about starting my own foundation! I’m stoked! Lots to do, but it’s fine. Time to turn things up a notch! Future, you may be hidden under a thick chunk of debt, but you’re looking pretty bright!
