Today I graduated undergraduate college with a Bachelor of Science in Biology/Pre-medicine. The past 4 years have been a little crazy, but fantastic. Today was rainy and muggy and chilly, but we cranked out a pretty awesome (and freaking long) grad ceremony and a pretty yummy bbq. Ended today seeing The Great Gatsby at the new Smitty’s cinema where I had a pretty fantastic drink too! Good day.

Just because of personal experience, I am really interested in Invasive Cardiology. Aside from that, there are a few surgery specialties that I find interesting as well: Ophthalmology, Cardiac or Cardiothoracic, and Orthopedic surgery! Do you ask because you are pre-med or are you just interested?

The Changing Face of Medical School Admissions:

Some medical schools are looking beyond MCAT scores and grade point averages in search of a more diverse student class.

I think this is great! I believe the primary goal of every future physician is to competently care for patients, but that will happen 99.99% of the time anyways. Getting to know diversity is refreshing and takes work, but I believe that it will pay off in the long run.

I am seriously the worst flirter.

Funny enough, I just watched Argo last night. Yeah, pretty sure God does NOT hate Canada. BUT OH MY GOSH, Canada must be terrible! A country that is willing to help their neighbors despite consequences, composed of friendly people that accept everyone despite “what the bible says”, AND produce maple syrup (sorry, I had to add that). CANADA SOUNDS PREPOSTEROUS! Also, WBC is totally the most hilariously ridiculous group of crazy religious nuts that bend the bible to what they need justified. Oh my goodness, articles like this…HA!

I’m literally so excited to graduate in 39 days! But all my professors are trying to cram in so much work now. I have 2 essays, an exam, 2 lab reports, a poster, and various other quizzes and homework assignments due in the next 2 weeks. Time to see what I’m actually academically made of…
