My grades are being held hostage.
Last final of my undergraduate career!
Physics. 8a. This morning (Monday). Bring it on.
My grandma brought us back an alligator head from...
Not even kidding. An actual taxidermy head of an alligator. Like… Dried and lacquered up. My family is so freaking weird. WHO GOES TO FLORIDA FOR SIX MONTHS AND THINKS AN ALLIGATOR HEAD WOULD BE A COOL GIFT?!? Oh my…
Anonymous asked: Anon from last night again: I ask because I was curious. I'm actually a nursing student heading into Emergency med in the fall after graduation. Best of luck! :)
Anonymous asked: What specialty(ies?) are you thinking about?
Ask me something.
Something medical. Something personal. Something random. Just do it! (Yup, I just became THAT kid)
The Changing Face of Medical School Admissions →
Some medical schools are looking beyond MCAT scores and grade point averages in search of a more diverse student class. I think this is great! I believe the primary goal of every future physician is to competently care for patients, but that will happen 99.99% of the time anyways. Getting to know diversity is refreshing and takes work, but I believe that it will pay off in the long run.
I am seriously the worst flirter.
Like…not even kidding. Miranda Hart bad (though I love her).
Person: Have you seen that episode where...
Me: I have seen every episode, go on
This is so me with "Lost Girl" and "Stargate Atlantis" and "Grey's Anatomy".
I'm wearing short shorts today!
So excited with this weather today, guys! Also, I forgot how comfy spandex shorts are.
with the end of today, I officially have 24 days until I get my bachelors degree in bio/pre-med, ending with about a 3.4 gpa. Am I excited? Try ecstatic and simultaneously panicked!
You guys, today is gonna suck.
I have a 3 hour Physics lab and then a 2 1/2 hour belated mid-term exam for the same class. My brain will be mush by the end of today.
I’m literally so excited to graduate in 39 days! But all my professors are trying to cram in so much work now. I have 2 essays, an exam, 2 lab reports, a poster, and various other quizzes and homework assignments due in the next 2 weeks. Time to see what I’m actually academically made of…
I did not get the job.
I have a job interview in 12 hours!
It’s at the elderly homecare aid position I applied for (pss), my top choice. Wish me luck!
Pro-Choice Action Network →
Recently I have seen an increase of posts all over Facebook, tumblr, and various other sites only focusing on Pro-Life arguments. Personally, I am Pro-Choice. I believe what a Woman decides to do with her body is her choice and her choice alone. I also believe this because I am going into the medical field and I think that it would be harmful to go in close-minded to the opinions of my patients....
I had an epiphany today.
Whether my plans work out so that I enter medical school in one or in two years, I realized this: I WILL BE A DOCTOR IN 5-6 YEARS. How weird is that…?
Plans are changin' again.
I’m gonna try to breathe, accept change, and go with the flow. I may be taking more than a year off now, for financial reasons. It looks like (cross my fingers) I’m going to get that Home Care Aid job for the elderly that I was hoping to get, allowing me time to get hands-on experience dealing with people who need my help, continue working part-time at my customer service job,...
I just learned that a few of my coworkers who I...
I whole-heartedly believe in equality. I have gay friends that I would like to see enjoy marriage if they so wish to do so. Plus, going into the medical field, I feel that being so close-minded would hurt my ability to help people. I don’t care who the hell you sleep with…and neither should anyone else. Happiness should be equal. I can’t help but respect those coworkers less...
I GRADUATE IN 51 DAYS.
And then I get to get a second job, pay tuition debt for my year off, study and take the MCAT like a maniac, apply to medical schools, do some traveling, and go to some pretty snazzy weddings. Be jealous, bitches.
I have applied to so many jobs in the last 24...
I forgot how much work it takes to even apply. That’s what I get for having the same job for years. I literally went through JobsinME and applied/inquired to 8 jobs, resume, references, cover letter, and all. I applied to a lab assistant job at IDEXX, a medical office Coder job, a few medical secretary and administrative assistant jobs, and a couple Home Aide jobs.
Spending my last day off with a Migraine.
It’s the SAME in every photo. Oops.
I am now an owner of a Nokia Lumia.
Officially my favesies show.
So much vomit.
Just got to clean up after one of the pups like a crazy person since he decided to spew a ridiculous volume of vomit right into the cushion crevices of my mother’s new leather couch. What a beautiful dog.
It's snowing again.
Migraine Headaches in College Students →
Hey! If you suffer from Migraines and are a college student, you should take this free survey so I can gather comparative data. I’d really appreciate it :)
